1. Introduction

Bitely: Diabetes & Diet ("Bitely") is operated by NAG Solutions Ltd. It helps people plan and track meals with diabetes in mind. This policy explains what we collect, where it is stored, who processes it, and how to delete it if you wish. It applies to the Bitely iOS app and getbitely.com.

Bitely provides educational nutrition information. It does not diagnose, treat, or manage any medical condition, and it never provides medication or insulin dosing guidance.

2. Information we collect

3. How we use it

To provide the app: showing your journal, plans, targets and history, and generating the meal analyses, morning briefs and weekly reports you ask for. To operate your subscription. To fix faults.

We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising. We do not use it to build profiles for anyone other than you.

4. Apple Health

If you connect Apple Health, we read glucose readings so the app can show how your meals relate to your levels. With your permission we also write the meals you log back to Apple Health, so your records stay in one place.

Glucose readings we read from Apple Health are uploaded to our servers and stored in your account. They stay there so your history, charts and meal-response insights work across your devices and after reinstalling.

A summary of your recent glucose data is included in the information sent to OpenAI's secure third-party servers when you ask for a meal analysis, a morning brief or a chat reply. That summary is used only to generate your response.

Health data is never used for advertising or marketing, never sold, and never shared with anyone beyond the processors listed in section 5.

You can disconnect Apple Health at any time in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Health › Bitely. Readings already imported remain in your account until you delete them or delete your account.

5. Who processes your data

We use these providers. Each receives only what it needs.

Medications and meal photos are never sent to OpenAI, Deepgram or any other AI service. OpenAI does not use data sent through its API to train its models.

6. Storage and security

Your data is held in Supabase in the EU. Access is restricted per account by row-level security, so one account cannot read another's. Meal photos are kept in a private storage area and served through short-lived links. Traffic is encrypted in transit.

Some information is also cached on your device so the app works offline: your profile, recent meals, and any log made while offline, which is sent when you reconnect. This is removed when you sign out or delete your account.

7. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live you may also have rights to access, correct, restrict or object to our use of your data, and to complain to your data protection authority. Contact us and we will help.

8. How long we keep it

Your data is kept while your account exists. Assistant conversations are kept for the five most recent threads and older ones are deleted automatically. Anonymous diagnostics are kept for a limited period for troubleshooting. When you delete your account, your data is removed from our systems.

9. Children

Bitely is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

10. Changes

We will update this page if our practices change, and revise the date above.
